• A moderate earthquake rattled parts of Israel early Wednesday, shaking Jerusalem and Tel Aviv for several seconds. No damage or injuries were immediately reported. It has been also largely felt in Amman as well as in Damascus.
• "The earthquake was strongly felt in Amman and the northern area of Jordan. People were afraid and evacuated their buildings. No reports on damage or casualities were made.
  At RSS, we have a single station and our calculations indicate a magnitude of ML=5.4 at a distance of about 50 km from Amman. Here is a scanned copy of our analog record, at 10:15 am local time, the total length of the record is about 533 sec.

• This event was largly felt in and around Damascus till the Syrian Lebanese border. No damage was reported.

• Jordan Seismological Observatory An Mc :4.9 Magnitude Earthquake On The NW Dead Sea Region February 11th 2004
  A moderate earthquake 4.9 magnitude (Mc) shocked the northeast part of the Dead Sea area at 08:15 UTC on 11 February 2004.
  The location of this earthquake was at latitude 31.679 N, longitude 35.585 E with a focal depth of 21 km.
  The earthquake was felt strongly in the region especially in the north direction from the epicenter in the Dead Sea region. No casualities were reported.
  Twenty aftershocks were recorded by the Jordan seismological Observatory till 04:00 UTC 12 Febrauary 2004. The location of the aftershocks were distributed in the eastern direction along the Zarqa Ma'in branch fault. This fault is one of the east-west branches fault that runs perpendicular to the Dead Sea main fault.

• Thanks God, we are fine now after the Earthquake of yesterday. It caused cracks in some old masonry buildings in Nablus and Bethlahem.
